Prize will be awarded to the calf or group of calves selling for the highest amount in each class. Total prize money will be £200 with each class winner receiving £50. In the event of a tie, the prize money will be shared. Vendors are requested to notify the Auctioneers in advance of their entries. ******************************************* SLAUGHTER ONLY OR “RED” MARKET MONDAY 8TH DECEMBER - 11AM Due to the increasing incidence of TB in the area we will be holding our next “Red” Markets for finished cattle and cull cows on Monday 8th December at 11am. We have been informed that the "Red" Market can receive slaughter cattle from TB2 restricted holdings even if the animals have not been tested within 60 days except of course reactors or inconclusive reactors. Buyers have confirmed that with the current shortage of cattle the Market will be well supported. To ensure that buyers are able to make up good size loads of stock we appeal to producers who are under restriction due to TB to pre-enter stock for licensing which is a legal requirement. We can also accept non-TB restricted cattle but they must be sold for slaughter only.
