Coombe Cottage was originally a game keeper’s cottage for the former Basset’s Tehidy Estate. DIRECTIONS: Travelling east bound from Hayle on the A30 follow the signs for Camborne/Redruth and leave the A30 at the Camborne West junction. At the end of the slip road turn left and take the immediate left sign posted ‘Crematorium’. Proceed past the right turn to Treswithian Downs Crematorium and at the sharp left hand bend, turn right, so effectively carrying straight on, towards Coombe and Bell Lake. Follow the road to the bottom of the hill, about ½ a mile, and proceed over the bridge taking the next left to Coombe, signposted to Hayle, proceed over another bridge and continue for about 200 yards where Coombe Cottage can be found on the right hand side.
